Will Silent Hill return to PS5 with two new titles?

P.T. (playable teaser) was released on the 12th of August 2014. Since then, various rumors about a possible return of Silent Hill have continued to appear without any objective feedback.

In the last few hours, numerous rumors are spreading again after the tweets of a well-known insider (AestheticGamer aka Dusk Golem) and the revelations on the “Rely on Horror” page.

According to these sources, we should expect the arrival of two new chapters that will enrich this videogame saga. Keiichiro Toyama (director and writer of the first Silent Hill year 1999), the composer and author of most of the music of the franchise, Akira Yamaoka, and the designer Masahiro Ito would be involved in the first project. It would be this trio to drive a kind of soft-reboot that would probably be called simply Silent Hill. As for the production, behind Keiichiro Toyama and his team there would be SIE Japan Studio, already known for the production, in collaboration with Fromsoftware, of masterpieces of the caliber of Bloodborne and Demon’s Souls.

The second title would be “Silent Hills”, the game by Hideo Kojima which was canceled after the breaking up with Konami. Following the numerous requests from the community of fans for a return of Kojima on the aforementioned horror title, Sony would be trying to mediate between him and Konami.

It would also seem that Sony wants the Playstation VR2 and therefore virtual reality to be taken into account during the development of the game.

Even if those reported still remain rumors, Digidreamers will follow the events concerning the future of this saga for you and will keep you updated. As usual we thank you for being here and we remind you that to keep up to date on new content from the world of gaming you just have to subscribe to our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages.
